The Dead Pool
The HisDaddy.com Dead Pool is a game where you pick which celebrities will die during a specific calendar year. You get points based on how early in that year a celebrity dies. The person with the most points when the ball drops at the end of the year wins a prize!
Rules:
1) Each player picks five celebrities and one Rubber Corpse.
2) A celebrity can be any famous person that is well-known in general society. This includes movie stars, musicians, politicians, athletes, businesspeople, and just about anybody who appears somewhat regularly on national news.
3) Famous people can also include very, very famous criminals and some reality television stars. For example, Charles Manson would count, but Snooki from “Jersey Shore” does not.
4) You get points equal to the opposite month of the year in which your celebrity dies. For example, if your celebrity dies in January of the game year, you receive 12 points. If your celebrity dies in December, you only get one.
5) Rubber Corpses are celebrity picks that are only worth one-half their monthly point value. In the event of a tie, the person who had their Rubber Corpse die sooner wins. And yes, that means down to the day and hour, if necessary. If there is a tie and one person’s Rubber Corpse didn’t die, they lose. Rubber Corpses must die in order to win a tie, so think about how much that prize is worth to you…
And lastly (this is very new) — CHOOSE YOUR SIDE!
6) When you start, you can choose to be an Angel or a Devil. This decision gives you the following benefits:
Angel - Angels receive one extra point for each pick that lives the entire year. Rubber Corpses count for half.
Devil - Devils receive one extra point for each pick that dies during the year. Rubber Corpses count for half.
How to play:
You have to be invited to play. If you want to play but have not been invited, you must enter your plea as a comment in the yearly Death Pool Plea Post, a yearly blog post by HisDaddy giving unknowns a chance to beg to play.
